Sitting here and reflecting about yesterdays events and after reading hundreds of posts of angry, pissed off customers, I started to think.
Do you think there was a reason that there was such a positive reaction at the event because SJ loaded the die? (cheated)
According to Engadet:
11:13am - Applause... "A lot of people at Apple have worked on these products. Some are here today, some are watching from our campus in Cupertino. I'd like those folks to stand up..." Wow, this is like half the audience.
If it had been a developer or press only, they might have booed or at the very least NOT clapped. I bet there was a meeting that told everyone to clap exceptionally loud during the price drop information.
What do you think? I know that if I was at the conference reporting and I had an iPhone (which I do) and they just told me that it was magically now worth $200 less, that I wouldn't clap, I might boo SJ.
If this is the case, then the crowd is nothing more than a marketing tool rather than an honest reaction.
Just food for thought. What do you think?
