Constant battery status on new Airpods?

None of the reviews of the new Airpods answers whether or not these new AirPods can show the battery level of the case and buds at all times like the AirPods Pro 2. I like that feature and would think it comes with the H2 chip?

I have the AirPods 4 with ANC and I am seeing this behavior, with both the case battery and AirPods battery indicators showing even when the AirPods are not in use or are being used with a different device (e.g. Apple TV) and not the phone.

Yes these behave like the APP2 in that you see the battery life of the case at all times.
