Constant Hissing coming from MBP's keyboard area

hey guys, has any1 noticed a strong/constant hissing sound coming out of their macbook pro? It's coming from under the keyboard..It goes away when i launch Photobooth app.. Also the hissing pattern changes when i connect the mbp to power adapter.. Has any experienced this w/ their MBP?

Is my MBP's hardware faulty or just a software problem?

EDIT: also, are the fans constantly running on MBP's? Mine are always running

yes, I'm well aware of the rectangular box and its search powers.. But there is a huge diff between Hissing and Whining.. Oh wait! you prolly don't know the diff cus you don't own a MBP?

Anyways, I googled for some answers and found out very few people have this hissing issue.. The hissing is caused by CPU-2 cus its not doin anything.. Anytime you launch and CPU intensive app for e.g. Photobooth, The hiss goes away...

The hiss can be prevented if you install developer's tools aka CHUD and turn off the second CPU.. I also found this great article explaining the cause and a temperory solution for it.. This guy developed a pseudo program which constantly uses CPU-2(like 5-10%) of it all the time. This way the hiss goes away, tho you do sacrifice some battery life w/ cpu-2 actvity all the time

Also like every other owner, I’m slowly going insane from the now infamous “hissing/whining” processor noise.

It's the same noise with a different name!!!

As sister site TUAW points out, the high-pitched hissing/whining/squealing seems to be associated with an idle processor and does not affect all new MacBook Pros. However it affects enough to have sparked feverish discussion in your choice of Apple-related forums. And as these things go, several “fixes” have been suggested including keeping the Photobooth app running in the background to keep the processors busy, installing/uninstalling certain widgets, and disabling the second core processor altogether.

I have the whine connnected to the power adapter, but as don't run my mbp on battery unless I have to, I don't hear it often. My fans aren't on all the time- but they are being quite noisy right now.
