Constant Location

Ihave recently bought apple watch and after that im getting the location indicator and it does not disappear from my phone.i think its the weather app and when i change watchface to a weatherless one it stops

i currently fixed my location from the app and disabled location permission as a fix. is there any way to get weather to update in 1-2 hours a day? its getting activated every 10-15 minutes and ita annoying

I don't believe that the native weather app has such a schedule like you are asking about but if you set the location settings for the weather app to only check when you are in the app, it will prevent the app from constantly using the location service.

its already set to that but for some reason it still uses it and indicator is filled with white color. even if i remove the widget it stays like that

Are you sure that the indicator is like that specifically due to the weather app? Mine is like that too. Usually when it is white in the middle, it means that an app is using geo-fencing. Still location-based but a little different. When the icon is a solid purple is when an app is actively checking your location.

There is another post on somewhere on the forums that I just saw yesterday, that talks about the same thing. I think the work-around is to turn off the location services for weather on the watch & to add your current city to the watch instead, that way it won't always be tracking you.

You can do as @mk313 recommends or just turn off all weather related functions or stick to no-weather watch faces. I am always puzzled why people obsess over the location arrow. Especially when connected to weather. On my watch I have the temp display on my watch face because I want to know the current temp where I am, and not two hours from now. That way I can tell if I need a jacket or not, and I can get a notification when a storm is approaching. I do like to know more than 2 hours ahead if my a** is going to be fried by a lightening bolt. If those features are an annoyance just turn all that off, should reduce your arrow issue.

already did that as im in same place every day. i was assuming its using battery.the issue is not the persistence of icon its about it changing its status,it distracts me .
