I just set up a new iPad for my son. I created a new iCloud account for him as a child and Family member, with restrictions and having to ask for purchase approvals.

Now, every time he wants a new app, the iPad asks him for his password twice, two separate pop-ups:

Once for "Sign-In to iTunes Store"
Once for "Sign-in Required"

After it is done installing, it will ask him AGAIN for both passwords. It's getting very frustrating, and I'm not sure what to do. Does anyone have any ideas?

Disable the "having to ask for purchase approvals."

Try powering off and back on again. If that doesn’t work try this

  1. Open Settings > iCloud.
  2. Scroll down and tap Sign Out.
  3. Tap Sign Out.
  4. Tap Delete from iPhone.
  5. Now tap Sign In.
  6. Enter your Apple ID and Password.
