Constant pausing on latest update AirPods Max

I can’t watch or listen to music anymore. It’s not a buffering issue. YouTube and Apple Music randomly pauses. I restart and no volume. Anyone else having this issue ?
 
Tonight it’s unplayable. Pauses 2-3 time per song. Worse update ever.

edit when I say pauses I have to go in and press play again. Then it will stop after a minute.
