I recently replaced my MacBook Pro's OEM HDD with a Samsung 850 PRO SSD. I have always hated SafeSleep, and always turned it off any time it turns on (such as after a full disc reset, or some software updates), however since the SSD has gone in, SafeSleep (or what appears to be SafeSleep) seems to start nearly all the time when I put the MacBook to sleep.

I haven't timed it, but I would say that SafeSleep kicks in about 15 minutes after closing the lid. Terminal claims sleep mode is 0, or normal sleep (SafeSleep off, instant wakeup, RAM kept running etc.). When I reopen the lid the screen comes on almost instantly, but the system takes a few seconds to respond.

Has anyone got any solution for this?
