I updated my 6s to 11.2 about a week ago. Update went fine. After a couple of days to let things settle everything seemed great...and they still do for the most part. It’s just now I noticed that there’s almost always the little spinning circle in the top left of the phone next to the WiFi symbol. It’s always spinning as if it’s doing some type of work. I have closed all apps and it’s still there. A reboot seems to stop it but it eventually returns and doesn’t seem to stop. I have noticed the phone running hot at times. Any idea what this could be? Thanks

Also like to add that this is only happening on the iPhone 6s and not on my iPad Pro 9.7 also on iOS 11.2

I believe the consensus is that it's related to voice dictation. Reboots and the like are only temporary; once I disabled the feature, I never experienced the issue again.

This will fix it! Check and see if your photos are uploading to the cloud. This will stop the annoying spinning wheel, and save you a ton of battery. Picture will show you
