My girlfriend is getting constant "Netflix is unavailable try again later" (or something along this line) errors when launching Netflix. The problem also occurs sometimes when watching a movie/show in Netflix. The "loading" wheel shows up when launching Netflix or when watching a movie, and after ~30 seconds, the "unavailable" message will pop up. Are others getting this error with their new Apple TV? Mine doesn't do it...We called the Apple store and they said its a problem with Netflix not the Apple TV. True? Her wireless signal shows up at full strength.

I was having problems with netflix earlier today. But i'm also newly jailbroken, and I came here to see if anyone else was having issues with the pwnage tool jailbreak? Everytime my ATV sleeps or restarts it now forgets the wifi password, which didn't happen pre-jailbroken.

I just got my AppleTV today, and trying out Netflix was one of our priority ... when all was hooked to the TV we tried to log onto Netflix and got the same message as you got ...
We tried and tried and tried with no luck for hours ... When we finally got in ... loading times just to switch between genres was all messed up (it took for ever .... we couldn't even get into the Children family genre).

Loading times for movies are super bad .... wayyyyy too long

Beginning to think AppleTV is junk ...

Netflix was having major issues over the past 24 hours. In fact, the entire site was down for a while with 0% streaming at one point. That might have been the issue.

Thanks for the replies, all. Its been acting like this since the 16th. Strange, on that first day we got it, Netflix disappeared entirely as an option from the "Internet" dropdown menu. Hardware resets solve the problem, but I think I'm going to go into the store and ask for an exchange.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

Still doing it daily. Should we exchange it before our 20 days are up?

I would try an exchange. I had the same problem on 10/31. I unplugged it and started it back up. Luckily, I haven't had any issues.

trouble logging into netflix on our ATV. first i get a netflix not available then it tells me there is something wrong with my account.

i am able to sighn into the website with no issues on the imac

Same issues here....I am really wondering why I signed up for netsux...their selection is horrible. I haven't been able to watch one movie on the ATV without it disconnection or just plain being stupid. I can however watch them on my phone for what thats worth.

I have had the ATV and netflix since about 10/15 and so far it has been great, just added a second ATV on Sunday, this is the first netflix issue i have had.

I hope it is short lived my plan to get rid of cable will be resoundingly rejected if the wife and kids run into these issues often.

I have had my :apple:TV for over a week, and only yesterday did I get the Netflix connection problems. Was OK before yesterday for me, and I haven't tried it yet today. I agree that it may be a Netflix issue. I'm wondering if and by how much their streaming traffic has increased since :apple:TV came out. I used to watch streaming Netflix from my Mac, but use it a lot more now that I have :apple:TV.
