iPod Constantly re-setting my Nano

Lately I've had to reset my 4th-generation Nano after every synch before it will display calendar updates. Is this a sign that my Nano is going bad, or possibly some other explainable phenomenon? i'm running iTunes 10.0.1 and synching the iPod to a Mac Mini.
