A friend of mine has like me macOS 10.12 Sierra installed on his Mac. However, while I never get any kind of notification from Apple to upgrade to High Sierra, he gets them every day.

I can only assume that he at one point (without knowing what he was doing) downloaded High Sierra and therefore now gets every day these highly annoying, pushy reminders to actually go through with the upgrade. I don't know this for sure, it's just my assumption.

Is there a way to get rid of these upgrade notifications?

IF your friend has the High Sierra installer in his applications folder, I suggest he do this:

- get a USB flashdrive 16gb or larger
- download the free app "Boot Buddy"
- use Boot Buddy to create a BOOTABLE High Sierra installer on the flashdrive

Then...
Just put the flashdrive somewhere for safekeeping.
Then, delete the High Sierra installer from the applications folder.

If your friend ever decides he wants to upgrade, do so from the flash drive installer.
Better chances of success that way.
