Contact Key Verification stops working

Has anyone else experienced this?

I’ve been setting up Contact Key Verification and it seems to just stop working with certain contacts.

We still have each others keys in our Contacts, but we have to go into the Verify Contact screen and redo the “Mark as Verified” step which we had already done and confirmed that both sides showed as verified.
