I have done every tutorial I can find when searching Google on how to fix this, including resetting everything and wiping my phone clean before restoring from backup. I've called Apple four times today (calls kept dropping), and even they were puzzled. It does it to people with blue AND green chat bubbles but it doesn't do it to all names. It's random on the contacts it does it to. The contacts app is fine, all names appear. It seems to only be an issue in messages. Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks

Messages should be pulling contact information from contacts, so if contacts are fine, then there really shouldn't be anything off with Messages if those people are in fact in contacts correctly.

If you are in fact restoring and all of that, you might want to do that without a backup to see if things are working properly. It might be that something is corrupted somewhere and could get carried over in a backup too.
