contacts - can't get them on to icloud or ipad

Hi my wife has a new apple ID.

I exported our contacts from my iMac and imported them into her iMac contacts - they now appear in her iMac contacts if i click on "all contacts" or "all icloud" but not if i click "all on my mac" (Now i don't even have that option on my iMac contacts!)

What I am trying to do is get these new addresses on her iMac to appear in icloud and therefore on her ipad...

any suggestions?

Start by going to icloud.com, under her new ID and check if you see them there under Contacts. If not, you can import a vCard file directly into the website, which should then push them down to all devices logged into that account. "The truth is in the cloud", as Jobs said in 2011.
