I have my contacts with google and have added photos to many. Suddenly, I just see initials instead of the image.

When I look at my contacts in the iPhone I see the image, but not on the Mac. What happened - how can I get the images back?

I'm confused. You said you see the images in Contacts on your iPhone, but not in Contacts on your Mac, but both your screenshots are from an iPhone.

So, based on those screenshots, I think maybe your issue is you see the image when you go to EDIT a contact (your first screenshot), but otherwise it doesn't show up (your second screenshot)?

You are right on both being from iPhone. However, when I go to the Mac it is still the same. Some of my contacts show pictures other just show initials.

I found out a key - some have n edit tab which allows me to add an image. I will continue to look into this.

make sure you aren't making duplicate contacts to another account like Gmail or Outlook
