Hey - didn't see this specific issue discussed elsewhere, my apologies if I missed it.

Since iOS 5 some of my contacts have seemingly become hidden to me. They aren't completely gone from my phone because they pop up if that person calls me and I can still call them via Siri, but I can't actually find them in my contacts list. I've disabled contact syncing etc but still no fix.

Any help would be much appreciated - it's terribly annoying having to rely on asking Siri to make all my calls for me.

Thanks!

What email/contacts app are you using? If it's Google/Gmail - and if you are using iCloud backup for contacts data - you might have some issues.

If you use Gmail, make sure iCloud doesn't back up iCloud contacts AND Gmail contacts. Must be one or the other or you will end up with duplicates and possibly a general mess in contacts. I put all in iCloud, dropped Gmail, etc. much easier; fewer problems.

I suspect that you have more than one addressbook and your contacts are looking at only one instead of "All Contacts"
