I have an iPhone 5S which needed a battery change. After it was done about 60% of my Contacts disappeared and the remaining were a combination of contacts of 10 years ago, and some of the latest I had added before the battery change. However, on my iPad I find the entire contact list is intact.

I need to:
1. Copy my entire Contacts list from my iPad to update my iPhone
2. Manage this humungous contacts list, by deleting some duplicates and removing a number of obsolete contacts.

I do have an iCloud account of 50GB, but I must confess I have never learnt how to use it.
I also have iTunes

Please could someone help me solve this.
TIA
Mukund

In the past, I have used this app to manage my contacts to either email it or upload it to Dropbox. Then, download Dropbox on the other device to import the contact. This app also have a feature to remove all contacts on your iPhone if you believe you have all the contacts on your iPad and want to prevent duplicates.

You can sync Contacts to iCloud by going to Settings>Your Name>iCloud>Contacts>Enable

Then do the same for the iPhone.

Give it a few minutes to upload. Check the Phone app, go to Contact and scroll all the way down to verify the right amount of contacts.

If both devices have iCloud Contacts enabled, you will need to disable and enable again on iPhone to force a sync.

Bishon Bhalo. Many thanks.
I was able to get the iPad contacts into an excel file in accordance with your instructions. However, now when I am trying to get the iPhone contacts I am getting a CSV file instead of the XLS file that I was looking to get. Tried it a couple of times with no luck. I suppose I shall have to convert the CSF to an XLS and duplicate the column headings, similar to the iPad contacts, in order to fix the problem.

After I fix that, then I shall move onto the iCloud issue.
