Hi Everyone,

I have an iPhone SE (new to Apple) of which I used the Apple recommended app to move from Android. All my contacts, messages, pictures, calendar items were moved over and my phone manages a gmail account and an icloud account.

I thought the iOS interface looked quite boring and I am realizing that in my Contacts/Messages lists, I should at least see a circle with an image in it. I have none. If I open a contact, it shows an image circle with the contacts image... but it does not show anywhere else like in the messaging app.

There were a few suggestions to fix this but I have not had anything work for me yet. One suggestion was in "Mail, Contacts, Calendars/iCloud/" turn off Contacts, 'keep on my phone' then turn it back on.

No luck yet :)

I don't believe smaller sized phones (those with screens that are 4" or less, like the SE) display contact thumbnail photos in the message list.

Thanks, that was something I didn't expect.

Well, I suppose that would explain it. There is a lot of extra space where a contact image could be displayed. So, I would have to upgrade to a 6s to see contact thumbnails. hmmmm. I wonder if iOS10 will be prettier on the SE.

They do seem to appear in the actual message though.

So contact photos can 'fit', lol. Just not included on sub $600 iPhones I suppose :) Maybe I will upgrade, or, "I better get one for Christmas!"

They are used on the message screen on the list screen, and they are even smaller versions than the ones used on the list screen.

I have no contact images on the message list screen either. Although, I know I have contact photos when I edit individual contacts. Again, not available on the SE?

As I mentioned earlier, it's only for group messages to help make out the different people that would be involved in the conversation all together.
