Contacts name appear as number in Messages app

Sometimes when I'm using my iPhone to message someone, their name appear as number instead of their name in the contact list. For example, I message to someone in my contact list named David. Instead of displaying "David" in the Messages app, it displays +84....... (his number). Sometimes this problem happens and it disappears after a a while and then it just come up again and disappear. How can I fix this.?I've updated the phone to IOS 14.7.1

Yes this happens on occasion. You might try rebooting, or signing in and out of iCloud.

Do you encounter this issue? This problem just disappear after I restart my iPhone.

Yes I’ve seen this off and on over the years, often when I get a new phone. It always resolves itself eventually.

I think it’s the iOS bug. My mom’s iPhone get this bug also. Hope this will be fixed in the next update
