Hi,

This is my first time posting here. I read through several threads for hours this morning trying to find an answer here, but have only managed to run in circles.

The problem is my contacts on my iPhone 5s are fine and complete, but the ones on my iPad 2 and my Mac (running yosemite beta) are stuck as if I stopped adding contacts three years ago. It didn't bother me because I wasn't using my iPad or Mac for any of that, but now I want to and I can't.

It turns out that my newer iphone contacts are somehow all listed under something called Exchange??? Does anyone know how/why this would happen? From everything I read this morning, it seems to be connected to company accounts (not applicable) or to Outlook, which I don't use.

So the question is, how do I fix this? I tried adding exchange to my ipad. It worked but still the more recent contacts (from last six months or so) won't add at all to the ipad even though all syncing is on. I can't add exchange to my mac at all, error msgs abound even though I copied the EXACT same info I used to try to add it to my iPad!

Basically, I want to get my contacts out of the stupid Exchange whatever it is and get them onto iCloud. I've read posts saying it can be done via something called vcards and importing/exporting but could not find any detailed step-by-step instructions, which is what I need! Desperately!

Any help would be so appreciated!
