Contacts not syncing/updating

So I updated my contacts on my iPhone and first it synced with contacts on my Mac but suddenly it stopped. No new changes can be seen on my Mac. Why?

Toggle it on and off in iCloud. See if that helps. I have this happen from time to time w/ the files I keep on my desktop not syncing across my Macs.

Thanks for the suggestion but it worked again after a while when I was busy doing something else. I will try this if it happens again (although I rarely update contacts like I did yesterday).
