So one minute they're there, the next about 3/4 of them have disappeared!! Luckily they all still seem to be there on me.com, but this is getting ridiculous. Yes - I know, "backup your files" and I will as soon as I get home, but with push (even faux push) changing all your data on all your machines, a 'service' this flawed and with the potential to lose so much data for so many people should not be launched without a beta classification or some other warning about what you could be letting yourself in for.

Seriously - generally I'm a fan, and have been with .mac for 5 years, maybe there were better value services out there, but at least it worked (except maybe idisk). Now that my phone is essentially out of commission until I can get all my contacts back in (assuming they don't get push-deleted before then), I'm kind of wishing for the good old days of .mac

Here endeth the rant

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5A347 Safari/525.20)

Same problem here, Im a UK iPhone 2G customer on o2, and first all my contacts went, then a few reappeared, I have a backup, but it's just getting ridiculous. I didn't ask for MobileMe, I don't want MobileMe, so I don't know why they didn't let it bed in before migrating previously happy customers. Ridiculous.
