Why is it that on the commercial and on apples website does it show the contacts name and photo in a small portion at the top of the screen with the wallpaper behind it. When i dial out my contacts photo becomes the wallpaper. it looks nothing like the commercials or demos. is there an option in changing this? thanks!

This has already been discussed, but people basically said that if you sync it from your address book with the photo already there it shows the small photo, but if you assign it from your phone it shows up as a wallpaper

I noticed this today too and decided that I like the little photo better, so to make that happen here's what I did:

I initially took the pic of my friend with the iPhone camera, then assigned it to their address book entry. When I did that, a small pic showed up by their name in the contacts list. Then to test I had them call me and noticed the full size thing, so I went into the photos section on my iPhone and deleted the photo I took of them. The small one remained in the address book entry, so now that's all that shows up when they call.

Hope that helps. :)

I love how it takes up the whole screen.

I guess it helps that I have huge rez photos.

i preffer the small picture as well... i mostly just took alot of the pictures from peoples myspace, facebook, personal websites and other iphoto pics i already had to add them to the address book... i dont really like the whole screen being taken up... just personal preference... it looks less nice i think :p
