I have activated contact thumbnails in Mail because it helps me find mails faster, and I was wondering if you could add only the endings of email addresses in the contacts app - for example something like @apple.com - so that every email that you receive, that would include an address that is @apple.com would be linked to the contact you have added in the contacts app and therefore have the correct thumbnail in the mail app.

I'm not sure if you see what I mean, but I often get mails from companies where the beginning of the email address often varies, because it's a variable thing. So I'm trying to put these all under one single contact, I was hoping for something like *@site.com, but the asterisk didn't help and it didn't bring anything.

Thanks!

I don't know of a way to do this in the way you describe. However, you could do something similar by creating a Mail Rule or Smart Mailboxes. Mail Rules and Smart Mailboxes do allow you to use global addresses like "apple.com"

For a easy-to-see visual, a Mail Rule that assigns a flag to messages from a particular source might suit your needs.
