I'm having a slight issue with some of my contacts renaming themselves across my devices.
When I receive an email... lets say my mum (in my contacts as "Mum") it renames her contact to "Mum Surname", which then means her name gets listed under the first letter of her surname instead of 'M'.
I don't like the sort by Surname, so always place the full name (if needed) on the first name line, however its causing havoc here as well.

I tried the usual preferences options and tried the settings on iCloud but had no luck.
Does anyone know how to fix this please? :)

Anyone have any solutions?
This is causing havoc amongst my contacts now.
If I have an email associated to a contact everything changes.

I'm getting this exact same problem with my father's contact. I have(had) him in my phone and addressbook.app as "Dad". Somehow, no matter how many times I delete it on my phone or in addressbook.app or iCloud addressbook, it still gets changed to "Dad Lastname".

Haven't found how to rectify the situation yet, but thought I'd chime in with having a similar issue.
