Contacts search

When I open Contacts, the search box appears for one second, then disappears. Is there a fix for this, or is it a common glitch?

The search is at the top of contacts above "A", you can:

flick until you get to the top

or touch the top of the screen (where the time is) to automatically go to the top of the contacts.

Great! That solves it. I didn't realize the search box was hidden above the "A"s. Many thanks.
