Please i want to know if it's possible to sync my iphone contacts with icloud and gmail at the same time without duplicates or anything. And if its possible can i make changes on one account and it will automatically be updated in the other. I have two phones: an android and an iphone. Thanks. All answers are appreciated.

I've got a similar setup. But fortunately my iCloud and gmail contacts don't intersect. However you can do this:
Download all your gmail contacts as a vCard file and upload to your iCloud contacts.
And then you can turn off gmail sync.
Or in your case, use gmail primarily and disable iCloud.
You can download your iCloud contacts similarly and upload to google..
