Is there a content blocker for Mac OS that can be used to block all ads, trackers, etc. across my Mac regardless of which program I might be using?

Thanks.

The only thing that will do this for you is a proxy or VPN service where all of your internet traffic is routed through it, otherwise you would need to install a content blocker for each browser but that won't block content or traffic that happens outside of it.

You can also use private browsing modes that are available in most browsers these days, but that doesn't generally block content so you would still need a content blocker to block ads and such.

I don't currently use a proxy or VPN service so I have no idea which to recommend.

Adguard pro does the job. I am using it for a while now and happy with the app.

This works on a Mac how...?

You haven't used what you recommended and yet you give me grief for recommending something I have used?

Yeah, you're cool.

To be fair you talked about using something on iOS when the OP's question was about the Mac.

He also said the proxy URL in the app could be added to network settings (on the Mac).
