Contract early termination

I was wondering if someone already foud out how much AT&T would charge for early contract termination and if they will provide unlock code after the fee is paid? If they won't provide unlock code then is it possible in general to terminate contract early? I would like to use iPhone in Europe as wide screen iPod and internet tablet, like Nokia N800 :-D
