Contract issues: Tmobile and AT&T

So my tmobile contract ends in May and I wanna take advantage this on the current iPhone. I was wondering if I unlock the iPhone for t-mobile use and sign up for t-zones, will that extend my contract another (bleep) year?

also once the 3g rolls out, assuming the basic family plan (700 minutes between two iphones) stays the same, if i find out i use more than this 700 and upgrade to the 1400 plan, would that also EXTEND my contract?

Im no expert on this but Im 99% sure that adding features (tzones) does not cause you to extend a contract with Tmobile. However if you change rate plan it will.

I just went into a tmobile store tues and canceled some extra features and it does not extend your contract what so ever
