Im running the latest PB. Control center seems a bit laggy on my 5s. I installed OTA just fyi. What could be the issue here? Is it just normal beta lagginess? Maybe it's not that laggy and it's just in my head lol. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Multitasking is also lagging on my Air 1. Hmmm. Must be a beta issue.

So bottom line, can we confirm that the control center lags on any device, even the iphone 6? I guess we can rule out the ipad air 2 because of the triple core, also, it would be pretty ridiculous if it does lag on the air 2.

It is fine for me on this build, but it was bad for me on the previous PB2/B4

I'm sure this, as well as many other performance issues, will be fixed as iOS 9 goes public, especially into the 9.x updates. The switch over to Metal for system-wide effects has still got to be optimized I think, and once they really get the ball rolling on adding finishing touches after the under-the-hood stuff and obvious bugs are ironed out, things should be better or at least the same as they were on iOS 8, just like how Apple claimed. If it isn't ever fixed, then I guess Apple really just doesn't care anymore. Currently, Control Center is smoother on the iPhone 5 running iOS 8 than the iPhone 6 running iOS 9. It's pretty smooth on iOS 9 for the iPhone 6, but I can still tell it is just slightly... Off. Like dipping into 40-50 FPS.

It's been lagging to various degrees since iOS 8. iOS 9 is even more sluggish in every respect. I have my opinion why the OS is more sluggish in general, but that is beside the point.

Apple is relying more and more heavily on XPC. These are quite lightweight, but not to the extent they are used here. After all, these are puny ARM devices, not x86(_64).

Control Center has always been buttery smooth on my 5s with iOS 8.4.1 and below.

That's not the case with the iOS 9 betas, though. It's way clunkier and more laggy.

It has gotten waaaaay better since beta 1, though. It's getting fixed.

Control Center indeed does lag. But since beta 5 came out I'm only seeing the stuttering at the lock screen. And not just for Control Center, also at the Notification Center.

I'm sure Apple will get this fixed though. Especially in favor of the fact that they're using Metal. That's also the reason why it does run smoothly as of beta 5 (at least, on my iPhone 6 it does).

So is this laggyness a beta issue? I got an iPhone 6 on Sunday and it is laggy on it just like on my 5s. Hoping a new beta will be released soon to fix this....

"iPhone 6S features: - faster processor
- better camera...
But there is... ONE MORE THING: Control center is smooth"

haha. I sure hope that they will fix this in the final release of iOS9. I will stick to 8.4 for now which has a very smooth response in e.g. Notification Center.

Also there has been a lot of lagginess in the app switcher and just overall on my iPad Air 1. Is this the beta or is it cause I restored from an iTunes backup when I got the iPad Air (and then updated to PB OTA)?
