How do you get to the Control Center in iOS 12 on an IPad Mini 4? When I swipe up from the bottom of my screen, it does nothing. I can switch apps or go to the control center unlike iOS 11.

I believe Apple moved the control center to the top right of the screen like the iPhone X. Swipe down from the top right edge and it should come up.

Thank you. That makes sense now, but how do you switch apps and see which apps you have open?

I believe you swipe up from the bottom and hold a moment, like you do on iPhone X. I think you could also swipe up and to the right side to switch apps.

I have an iPad Air 2 but I’ve yet to update it to iOS 12, so I’m going off what I’ve read about the new gestures on the web.

You not have to do a long switch up to switch apps. When Apple change stuff, they really screw up people like me who has a physical disability. Does anyone know how to revert back to the old gestures from iOS 11?

You don’t have to do a long swipe, it can be quite short, about the length of the dock. The trick is not to ‘flick’ in one sudden motion but to keep your finger on the screen. It really doesn’t have to be on very long. As soon as you see the app come in from the left you can release and enter multitasking.

Another option is to double click the home button.

Another option is to swipe up with 4 fingers.

I hope one of them suits you as I’m not aware of a way to revert to iOS 11 gestures.

Its very different when you are typing with your toes and swiping with them instead of your fingers :).

Thanks for the details. Good to know!
