Control your TV with your Macbook Pro?

I have a Macbook Pro and have recently lost my remote to my Samsung LCDTV. If there a way I can control my channels on the tv with the IR from my macbook pro or my apple remote?
 
Nope - although some Sony Ericcson phones offer the ability to control TV's using their infrared.

Time to buy a new remote me thinks.
