Controlling Mini with MBP/Ipad

Is there a way to control my Mini with my MBP and or Ipad?
I am going to use the mini as a media server and feel that buying a keyboard and mouse would be a waste of money. Apologize if this is a repeat thread.

Yes, you can do it with Screen Sharing or a 3rd party app, like TeamViewer.

I use screen sharing all the time from my MBP to Min since the Mini is in another room and I do most of my downloading on just that machine. Works like a charm.

Screen sharing would only work computer to computer corrent? Would need 3rd party app to do this with an ios device?

This might be a dumb question...but dont i need to turn screen sharing on on the mini first? and how am i going to do that without a mouse/keyboard?

Yes, you do need to turn it on first. You need to connect a mouse long enough to do it.
