From Music in macOS Catalina can you convert AAC tunes to MP3?

I tried (Catalina/ Music) to convert a song from a purchased album - AAC to MP3 - does not work (worked in iTunes)

This could be on purpose to stop conversion and to maintain DRM ?

Edit - my mistake - I forgot to download the file - it was an album I purchased a few days ago and had not downloaded - once I downloaded the songs they converted to MP3 just like they did in iTunes

So convert to MP3 still works for Catalina / Music

You could try "All2MP3".
I'm not sure if it's "good for 64 bits".
(rest of prior post deleted)

I tried the version of All2MP3 I was using, and it, too, will not run in Catalina.

One more reason why I have NO interest in Catalina at this time, and NO plans to upgrade to it in the near or far future...!

Funny you should say that because the DRM comment you just made enter my thoughts as I was typing the post
