I am playing around with videos, and was just wondering if anyone knew a good way to convert DVD's to Apple TV format. I have tried Videroa Converter but it isn't the highest quality. I want to be able to convert DVD's that I have to play on the Apple TV with the same quality as a movie that you purchase from the iTunes Store. Anyone have any suggestions?

If you're converting from a DVD, the source video will be 480, so there's no point in trying to convert to 720 or 1080. Using Handbrake, you should get results that are very similar to the original disc.

You will never get a better resolution than your source media. So DVD will never be high def.

I have converted my entire DVD library to work with the Apple TV using Handbrake. It is an awesome tool and already has a preset for AppleTV 2 which is perfect for DVDs.
