convert home movies from sanyo hd1000 to 720p appleTV format?

anybody have any experience with this camera? i am shooting clips in 720p/60fps mode and have tried using mpeg streamclip, but the results aren't satisfactory. the best clips are the ones that iTunes converts itself, but they're not 720p . ..

i've searched to no avail!

anybody have some advice?

i'm thinking about buying a 24" iMac in the near future just so you know . . . .

Can you use iMovie'08 with the footage from the Sanyo?

I know there are settings for 960x540p that work with aTV. Not sure if there are settings for 1280x720/24p, though.

Actually, iMovie'08 is great with HD clips. It has better compatibility than previous versions of iMovie. Where many people criticize iMovie'08 is in the editing features (which are "dumbed down" from iMovie'06).

If you're looking for Windows help, you might want to try a different forum. Most people here have more experience with Macs.
