iPod Convert to iPhone/iPod, does this work.

I see the feature in iTunes. I click on said feature, my fans spin up to conversion speed and nothing, Nadda, nothing ever happens.

Does this feature actually work?

It will create a copy of the video to be able to play it in your ipod/iphone.
Search in your library for the duplicate with a different file extension.
