Here's how I do it:
First, get "Clipgrab":
ClipGrab is a free downloader and converter for YouTube, Vimeo, Metacafe and many other online video sites
clipgrab.org
It's free.
Use ClipGrab to download from YouTube. The videos will download in mp4 format.
Of course, that's not good for the Sansa player.
So... we need to convert them to mp3's.
Do this next:
Download "All2MP3" from here:
Tucows offers Domain Name Services, Fiber Internet Services and SaaS through our businesses Tucows Domains, Ting and Wavelo. We're a tech company headquartered in Toronto, Canada, making the internet better since 1993.
www.tucows.com
It's free.
Now, do this:
1. Put the mp4 files into a folder on the desktop. Things work best if the files to be converted are in a folder.
2. Open All2MP3
3. Select the files to be converted, then "drag and drop" them into All2MP3's window.
4. You will now see options for conversion. I chose highest quality (move the slider to the right). Then, let it go.
5. When done, you should now have the converted mp3 files in the same folder as the mp4's. Check the mp3's for quality, then delete the mp4 files.
One other thing:
To get the converted mp3 files to "list properly" in the music player, you need to add "metadata" to them.
I use "Tagger" to add this info.
You can find it here:
Download the latest version of Tagger for Mac for free. Read 14 user reviews and compare with similar apps on MacUpdate.
www.macupdate.com
You need to add artist, album, track info to get the mp3's to list properly.
You now have all the tools you need.
