just tried it now to make sure, and it worked great, but that was with an unprotected file.

When I got to Quicktime to open the file it gives me this error message:

QuickTime cannot open the file: "voo.swf"
invalid media data was found in the movie (-2008)

In flash just re-export it out as a video. When you get to the export menu that wants to know where your saving it, just go to the bottom and change the format from flash to quicktime movie.

Flash files aren't videos, they are animations. It's a big difference, because objects actually move around in flash while in the video you just have a bunch of different frames that show that object in different positions. And often flash files have user input.

You'll have to export it as a video in Macromedia Flash, it should output it as a video.
