So i have a bunch of football magazines, and other stuff, all purchashed digitaly, problem is, its all pdf. And i dont want to use goodreader etc, so i thought about calibre and converting the pdf to epub and adding that to ipad.

Problem is, my ipad comes on thursday, so i cant try this now. I have converted the pdf, but cant view it inside ibooks.

So is there anyone willing to try this.

I have a feeling all the pictures etc, will look awfull inside ibooks, but im willing to try.

I have already done this method and let me tell you it works like a charm. All my magazines show up on my bookshelf and open up no problem. Just converted the pdf's to epub through calibre en dragged the epub file straight to iTunes and synched and it's done. So happy because I to have a ton of magazines in PDF that I want to put into my iPad. Hope this help. :)

@vatche

do u have any problems with white pages, i read some people had a 105 pages pdf, and that turned into 130 pages in ibooks with many blank pages etc.

Yeah, that's what happened to me too. It puts a ton of blank pages in and you can not zoom in on text, so reading it is not the best thing in the word. I've been using Goodreader and you can zoom in. I am still waiting for more mags to be released. Zino is excellent but they do not have an iPad app just yet. Also, Calibre downgrades the qualify of the images. I have a lot of photoshop books on PDF and was not happy with the results. Goodreader was the way to go until something better comes along.

zinio does have a ipad app, its just laggy, and not that great.

anyways, i converted all my pdf magazines, if ibooks look like ****, ill just use good reader
