I have a few questions about converting some of my personal videos into iPhone format:

I am using VLC media Player to do this, so that parts good, i just have a few questions about the format and bit rate.

I want the videos to match the quality of videos downloaded from iTunes

What format is better: H.264 or MPEG-4 and at what Bit rate (video/audio) and what resolution?? i am trying this out for the first time, so any information will be helpful. i do want it to play at native resolution on my iPod Touch.

Thanks in advance for all the help :)

the res of the iphone is 480x 320. choose H.264. its an upgraded version of MP4. bitrate follows this formula. higher = better quality= bigger file. so decide which one you want more.
