I have an urgent need to convert some Mac Postscript Type 1 Font to Windows TTF, but I have tried converting with font studio, fontxchanger without any luck. Anyone know of a sure way?

Thanks!

Thanks for the Transtype suggestion. Tried that too but it says the font isn't supported. Strangely it works perfectly in leopard.

Leopard or any other version of MacOS X should be able to handle Type 1 (Mac), Type 1 GX, Type 1 Multi-Master, Type 1 (Win), TrueType (Mac), TrueType GX, TrueType (dfnt), TrueType (Win), and OpenType without conversion. The standard font editors such as FontLab Studio and the veteran Fontographer can generate Type 1 and TrueType as well as convert between Mac and Windows formats. I have a System 7-era Metamorposis® Pro 2.0.4 from Fontographer developer Altsys. It can convert to Type 1 in Mac, Windows, and NeXTstep format, Type 3 in Mac and Windows format, and TrueType in Mac and Windows format. Metamorphosis® Pro works in Classic.

The bottomline is that your font editors should be able to open and convert your fonts. The fact that they can't means that you are omitting significant relevant information about the fonts that you are trying to convert. You need to share that information.

Help me help you.
