Tell me why you would choose iphone over the HTC Hero (with the last update of ROM) or oposite.

By the way, does the Hero still lag after the ROM update that was gonna fix the lag issue? Ive been looking at many sites and threads but cant pick a decision really. And its prolly dumb of me to ask a such question in a mac forum x_x

To answer your question, I strongly suggest to search for all the user complaints of iPhone, read them, from then on you can decide

If you need convincing, then perhaps you don't want one. And that's fine. The reality here is - no one here knows what your situation is. What UI you like. What you're looking to do with your phone. Etc. Etc. So there's nothing we can say that's going to convince you.

You might as well come here and say "Chocolate or Vanilla - Convince me" or "Will I like the new Batman Movie"

I don't know much about the HTC Hero but I know it isn't considered competition to an iPhone.

Maybe convincing wasnt the right word i just wanted to hear your thoughts about the case. When it comes to UI, i dont own any apple products nor HTC products, not even any touch phones.

The thing i like with Hero is the widgets.
Can you arrange the icons on the iphone at all? Or does the device just randomly place it around?

I heard you could multitask after jailbreaking it, is it true?

OP, yes you can rearrange the icons on the iPhone, and yes it can multitask if you jb it. Though I don't know - can you jb the currently shipping 3GS yet?

The iPhone has been terrible ever since they stopped selling the original iPhone.

I actually like the HTC Hero and Eris, even if Eris is a stupid name. I wish at&t would bring out a similar model, I would seriously consider purchasing it.

I have an Iphone 3GS and a Droid Eris, the Iphone is my personal phone, Eris work phone.

The Eris (Hero with some tweaks) is a stellar phone, but no way in hell would I trade give up my Iphone for it.

The Iphone 3GS hardware, UI and overall experience is much better IMO. However both are good phones.

Go with the hero. It will leave more bandwith for people who have an iPhone.

The only reason I got an iPhone was because I owned an iPod. I always kept my iPod and cell phone with me and I got tired of carrying two devices. Can't say for sure if I would have got an iPhone if it weren't for the iPod. Decide for yourself.
