So yeah, I'm wanting to buy the iPad, and my bro is pissing me off on what to buy because he is ,,bored'', anyways I've been trying to talk him into the iPad, it's his own choice, but still. I told him already you can read books, surf the web, play games etc, but he isnt convinced. Anyway I could convince him? I'm going to buy it anyways, so should he just see it first?

Why do feel the need to convince him? Sounds like you are trying to rationalize your purchase. If you get one and he likes it, he may follow you. But really, does it matter?
 
So buy one for yourself. Let him see how much you enjoy it and what you can do with it. If that doesn't convince him, nothing will. Don't try to force it on him. Imagine if it were the other way around and he was trying to force something on you. Fun?
 
Is that your twin brother? If yes is it a must for you guys to have the same gadgets? Wear the same clothes act alike?

I dont understand the need for you to force him an ipad when he does not want one.
 
Well nothing in it for me, as I said; I'm going to buy it anyways. He just keeps moaning around saying he's bored and wants to buy something but he doesn't know what. So I told him to buy the iPad because it's fun, but he's just saying ,,I can do that on my PC'' so I wanted to find an argument so he quits moaning and leaves me alone ^^. And yes I'm fine with it if he doesn't want one, but I stated above why I need an argument. Thanks for the answers anyways.

Have you tried punching him in the face?
 
Younger, so I really don't care whether he buys it or not, I'm not ripping of my family, he's just irritating me and I can't find an argument. No I didn't punch him in the face :D Got quite some nerves
 
baffling thread. the iPad seems to have an uncanny knack for bringing the handholders out.
