Coolbook

I just got my new Macbook Air and i'm seeing some things online about a product called Coolbook. I have noticed that this product seems to to intended for the older Macbook Airs but I was curious if this was something I should install for my new MBA.

Anyone have some user experience with Coolbook they would like to share and if you think its necessary for the new MBA?

I was actually wondering the same thing though. Not so much for the temps (though the older ones definitely needed it for that reason). I'm thinking more for battery life gains from less fan usage and undervolting the CPU.

I know the new ones run cooler, so the impact of the fans might not be as significant with the new revision, but every bit counts.

I dont know if the new Air throttles better than the old ones, but if its no difference, then even if the new ones are cold you can still get better battery life by undervolting them. And you loose no performance. Really worth $10.

CoolBook isnt working on the new Airs yet, the developer has to add the new Airs to the supported models. I sent him an email and he will send me a working beta soon.

edit: It has three settings
800 MHz - 0,8750 V
1200 MHz - 0,9000 V
1400 MHz - 0,9750 V

The big savings can be done on lowering the 1400 MHz
