Alright, I know this has been brought up MANY times but what is the consensus on the best cooling/riser stand for the macbook pro? I am looking at a few which have been previously mentioned (including Koolsink) but I am not sure if it is worth the money. Considering Koolsink is about 100 US with shipping, is it worth the cost or is there an alternative that cools the laptop just as well? Thanks for the input. I would especially like input from 17" CD owners as that is what I have.

I bought the Griffin Elevator. I remember thinking that 40 dollars was a little pricey for the thing, but I couldn't be happier with it.

In conjunction with fan control, my laptop does not get hot. I love it because I can use it on my bed. It elevates the laptop for more comfortable use and it keeps it off the bedspread which would act as an insulator and cook the laptop.

right now I have my MBP sitting on a slab of polished black granite, a square slightly smaller than the MBP itself (so the feet are sticking out the edges). It seems to work pretty well at absorbing the heat.
