Copy and zoom issue

Are there any ways to disable copy in Safari? The reason is that I use double tap a lot to zoom text bigger to ease the eyes. But many times, double tap causes copy to activate. It is very annoying.

I haven't had this particular problem, but I have noticed that I'm trying to do heavier duty work on the iPad than I ever would have on the iPhone. I'm doing a lot more selecting, copying and pasting. I'm sure it will get easier, but it is a little awkward at the start.
