We need to ensure that we do not miss any and if the job stops for what ever reason, we can quickly pick it.

maflynn macrumors Haswell May 3, 2009 73,698 43,767 Dec 27, 2012 #3 I'd go with Carbon Copy Cloner, for its ease of use. For a free manual option there's rsync which is executed through the terminal I'd also look at at zipping them into a series of files, 2.5million file seems to be a lot files

I believe that it is just a GUI over rsync mentioned earlier but the important thing is that it will ensure that the contents of the target directory is identical to the source directory.
