Copy in photos

Sounds like you have to use the copy option for that that's available on the share sheet.

Well, speedwise, tap and hold and then tap again vs tap and tap once more, hard to say that one is really faster than the other. Just a different flow, but not really that much of a timing difference I'd say. But, yes, it has changed.
